Our investment activities are carried out through Bangsawan Brothers and Bangsawan Ventures.
Bangsawan invests in long term equity investments and short to medium term debt solutions.
On the equity investment side, we look at innovative, disruptive businesses that are expected to:
- Create long term significant financial returns for their shareholders
- Make a difference in the way their peers and industry behave in the future
- Improve the way we conduct our businesses and live our lives
We invest in small to medium size companies and start-ups and are prepared to take measured investment risks on early stage companies. Important factors when making decisions include:
- Quality of the promoters and management
- Business proposition
- Bangsawan’s value-add to the business
On the debt solutions side, we invest in short to medium term debt issued by companies looking for an alternative source of financing. Debt investments may include event-specific bridgers, capex purchases, or working capital through receivable-discounting.
Our typical lending criteria are:
- Quality of promoters and management
- Certainty of repayment of loans through near term identifiable cash flow events
- Acceptable risk returns
Bangsawan may make these investments on its own or jointly with other partners that share the same philosophy and objectives.
